What is Bio-Straightening?

Bio-Straightening is a revolutionary hair treatment that offers a safer, more natural alternative to traditional straightening methods. Unlike conventional treatments that rely on harsh chemicals such as formaldehyde, carbocysteine, or other aldehydes, Bio Straightening uses Monoi lactic acid along with amino acids, collagen, and proteins to smooth and straighten the hair from the inside out.

This innovative formula penetrates the cortex of the hair shaft, restructuring it at a molecular level without causing damage. What sets Bio Straightening apart is its ability to nourish, strengthen, and protect the hair while delivering sleek, long-lasting results—typically lasting between 4 to 8 months.

While traditional chemical treatments like keratin or Japanese straightening can weaken the hair by breaking down its natural bonds, Bio Straightening works in harmony with the hair’s natural composition. The inclusion of Monoi lactic acid gently refines the hair’s texture, leaving it smoother, shinier, and healthier—all without the use of aggressive chemicals.

For Dark Hair

The white color of the Bio Straightening formula is designed to protect dark hair from unwanted color changes. Unlike tinted or yellow-based products that can oxidize under heat and cause brassy or reddish tones, this pigment-free formula keeps hair color more stable and true.

Its light tone helps stylists see the product clearly during application, preventing buildup or overprocessing. The result is smooth, shiny, and healthy dark hair with minimal color alteration

For Light Hair

Bio straightening, the purple color in the cream is intentional. It’s usually due to violet pigments added to the formula. Here’s why:

Why Purple?

When hair is chemically processed, especially if it has brown, lightened, or highlighted sections, it can develop warm/brassy undertones (yellow or orange).
Violet (purple) is opposite yellow on the color wheel, so violet pigment helps neutralize those yellow tones during the straightening process.

Think of it similar to purple shampoo → it keeps blonde or brown hair from turning orange/yellow.

FAQ's Bio-Straightening

1. How long does it take to get it done?

3 to 4 hours maximum. Please note each treatment is personalized according to the hair type, which means the application, processing time, light therapy used, and straightener temperatures will vary.

2. Does Bio Hair Straightening help with the growth of the hair?

Yes, biotin and other amino acids can help hair grow about 4 to 5 cm in 3 months.

3. Can Bio Hair Straightening be applied on kids?

Yes, it can be used from the age of 5 years old.

4. Is it safe for Pregnant women?

Yes, request the Pregnancy Formula.

5. How many days do I have to wait to wash my hair?

None. You may wash your hair the same day if you wish.

6. Do I need to use a special Shampoo?

We strongly recommend Hair Care with Tahitian Monoi Oil to reinforce the hair and help maintain the straightening ingredients each time you wash your hair.

7. Can I still curl my hair after Bio Hair Straightening treatment?

Yes, you can, and it will perfectly hold the curls.

8. Can I go to the beach/pool after Bio Hair Straightening treatment?

Yes, we recommend waiting 10 days before swimming.

Your hair and skin are like sponges. When you shower before getting in the pool, your hair and skin absorb that fresh water, making them less likely to absorb the pool water and its damaging chemicals. The same applies when swimming in the ocean. To protect your hair in the best way, apply a leave-in treatment all over your hair, avoiding the roots.

9. What’s the difference between Keratin and Bio Hair Straightening?

Keratin is a chemical straightening treatment with carcinogenic ingredients such as formaldehyde or carbocysteine, while ours is plant-based with Monoi.

10. What's the difference between Nanoplasty and Bio Straightening?

Initially, the name was Nano-plastic because, as the name suggests, it is a plastic coating that sits on top of the hair cuticle. Later on, it was conveniently changed to Nanoplasty. This treatment usually needs to be repeated every 3 months because the effect gradually washes out with regular hair washing, swimming, or exposure to water.

The bigger issue is when you dye or bleach your hair afterward. The plastic coating makes it more difficult to lift the cuticle, which means chemicals need to stay on the hair longer in order to work. This leads to increased damage.

On the other hand, Bio Straightening is absorbed into the hair cuticle and then sealed with a straightener, which creates longer-lasting results.

Nanoplasty is a one-type-fits-all product, while Bio Hair Straightening comes in 6 different formulas, allowing the treatment to be personalized based on your hair type and the result you want.

10. Any suggested aftercare?

Bio Hair Straightening treatment is thermo-active, which means it gets activated with blow dryer heat for only 1 to 3 minutes. This will make your hair smoother, shinier, and will also prolong the life of the treatment.

11. How long does it last?

Results last up to 8 months or as your hair grows out.

12. Colouring/Bleaching before or after the straightening?

Do Bio Straightening first, and then after 1 to 2 washes, you can do your color.

For bleaching all over the hair: do it 4 weeks before or 4 weeks after Bio Straightening. Bleaching only on the roots can be done at any time.
